U.S. EPA Thanks DuctTesters Again for ENERGY STAR Homes

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) thanked DuctTesters for contributing 14 ENERGY STAR certified homes in 2016 and for the continued commitment in energy-efficient new homes.  DuctTesters is once again proud to be an ENERGY STAR Certified Homes Partner in 2017, helping homebuyers experience the peace of mind, quality, comfort, and value that comes with living in an Energy Star certified home.  ENERGY STAR is a joint voluntary program of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and the U.S. Department of Energy that helps businesses and individuals save energy and fight climate change through energy efficient products, homes, and buildings.

In order to earn the ENERGY STAR label on a new home, a certified third-party organization (such as DuctTesters) must verify the home’s energy efficiency against the label’s mandatory minimum compliance requirements. If you are interested in certifying and/or obtaining an ENERGY STAR Certified Home, feel free to contact DuctTesters or see the National Program Requirements.

DuctTesters Welcomes Kim

It is an exciting time for DuctTesters as we continue to grow as a company and within the industry. We strive to continually improve upon our innovation, adaptability and responsiveness to our clients and subcontractor partners. We hold a strong team of nearly 50 team members covering the entire state of California and select outlying areas. We would like to extend a warm welcome to our newest team member, Kim Herrera. Kim joins DuctTesters with over 17 years of experience in the Southern and Northern California regions of the building industry. Prior to joining DuctTesters, she worked for Gouvis Engineering as their Sales and Marketing Manager, developing new business as well as supporting existing accounts. She also worked for ConSol as a Regional Sales Manager. She has used her experience and her hard-working attitude to promote Energy Consulting Services to increasingly drive sales year after year. Kim is also heavily involved with the Bay Area and Orange County Building Industry Association (BIA), and recently held a spot on the 55+ Housing Council’s Board of Directors.

DuctTesters feels Kim joining the team, will enhance our success as we continue to conduct “QUALITY ENERGY CONSULTING WITH THE TESTING TO PROVE IT.”
