2016 Energy Code Changes – DuctTesters
California’s Building Energy Efficiency Standards are updated on an approximately three-year cycle. The 2016 Standards will continue to improve upon the current 2013 Standards for new construction of, and additions and alterations to, residential and nonresidential buildings. The 2016 Standards will go into effect on January 1, 2017. Building Energy Efficiency Standards are designed to ensure new and existing buildings achieve energy efficiency and preserve outdoor and indoor environmental quality. These measures (Title 24, Part 6) are listed in the California Code of Regulations.
